Who we are
Here's the deal, Norton Baptist Church cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. He has commanded us as His disciples to make disciples, which simply means we are to help people be found by Jesus and help people follow Jesus. Like any family, we are not a perfect family, but we strive to do everything in light of this command to make disciples. We would love to share more with you. Feel free to plan a visit or contact us to ask more questions.
Where we come from
Norton Baptist Church has been in existence for nearly 80 years. We have had a couple of names, a number of pastors, and countless people who have been a part of our church, but one thing has not changed...Jesus Christ has been and always will be the Head of this church family.
Where we're headed
What's the bottom line? As we seek to make disciples, we desire to do so together as a family. So often times we read the New Testament as though it was written to me as an individual, but the reality is that most of the New Testament was written to a group of believers called the church. The implication of that is that it is "WE" who must do this together. Norton Baptist Church is not about its pastor, its programs, or its services, rather, those are simply tools God uses to help us as people, as family, fulfill His plan here in the community that He has placed us. Our desire is to make plans for our future, but it is to hold those plans with an open hand allowing our mighty, awesome God to direct each step as we walk. We are not asking for the Lord to bless our plans for our church, no, we are asking for the Lord to have His will with our church.
What this means for you
What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at Norton Baptist Church. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you are at in your journey. If you have not been found by Jesus yet, come let us share with you who He is and why this is so important. If you need help following Jesus, and everyone who has been found by Him does, let us walk alongside of you as brothers and sisters to grow together in the knowledge of Him.
